Pathology-Integrated Care
Connecting Advanced Diagnostics, Subspecialty Expertise, and Everyday Patient Care
Precision medicine is more than advanced testing.
It is the ability to translate complex diagnostic findings into meaningful clinical decisions.
Bringing Precision Medicine to Everyday Clinical Practice
Precision medicine is advancing rapidly, but access to specialized diagnostics, expert interpretation, and multidisciplinary clinical expertise often remains concentrated within major academic and specialty medical centers.
The BioConnetiX Clinical Pathway Network brings these capabilities into everyday clinical practice by connecting Treating Providers with independent laboratories, Pathway Pathologists, and clinical subspecialists working within coordinated, evidence-informed Clinical Pathways.
Our objective extends beyond access to advanced diagnostic testing. We help connect laboratory findings with the specialized clinical expertise needed to interpret results, inform clinical decisions, and support ongoing patient management.
A Network of Independent Providers, Connected Through Clinical Pathways
The BioConnetiX Clinical Pathway Network brings together independently practicing physicians, specialty practices, and laboratories that participate in defined, condition-specific Clinical Pathways.
Each Pathway establishes a coordinated framework for accessing appropriate diagnostic testing, pathology interpretation, interprofessional consultation, and other subspecialty services relevant to a patient's clinical needs.
Rather than requiring Treating Providers to independently identify and coordinate multiple specialty resources, the Network provides a centralized point of access through an assigned Primary Pathway Clinician (PPC).
The Pathologist: Connecting Diagnostics With Clinical Care
Pathologists bring specialized expertise in laboratory medicine, diagnostic evaluation, and the interpretation of complex clinical findings.
Within the BioConnetiX Clinical Pathway Network, the assigned Pathologist serves as both a clinical resource and a central point of coordination for the Treating Provider.
Depending on the requested services and the patient's clinical needs, the Pathway Pathologist may:
- Support Diagnostic Decision-Making: Provide physician-to-physician consultation regarding test selection, clinical appropriateness, and the application of Pathway guidelines.
- Coordinate Advanced Laboratory Testing: Facilitate access to laboratories offering Pathway-aligned diagnostic testing.
- Provide Clinical Interpretation: Integrate laboratory findings with relevant clinical information to support meaningful, patient-specific interpretation.
- Facilitate Subspecialty Consultation: Coordinate access to clinical subspecialists when additional expertise is appropriate.
- Support Integrated Care Planning: Help bring together diagnostic findings and subspecialty recommendations through coordinated consultation and reporting.
The result is a more connected approach to precision medicine – one that brings advanced diagnostics and specialized clinical expertise together in support of the Treating Provider's clinical decisions.
Supporting the Providers Who Manage Patient Care
You remain your patient's Treating Provider. We help connect you with the expertise needed to inform their care.
BioConnetiX Clinical Pathways are designed to complement existing provider-patient relationships, not replace them.
Through laboratory services, interprofessional consultations, and other coordinated specialty resources, participating Pathway Clinicians help Treating Providers access advanced clinical expertise without necessarily requiring patients to travel to a specialty center.
The Treating Provider retains responsibility for clinical decision-making and patient management, while the Pathway Network provides access to specialized diagnostic and consultative resources.
Our goal is to make precision medicine more accessible, clinically meaningful, and actionable in everyday patient care.
BioConnetiX connects Treating Providers with advanced diagnostics, specialized pathology expertise, and subspecialist consultation through a coordinated network of physician-led Clinical Pathways.

About BioConnetiX
Thoughtfully Transforming Healthcare Delivery
A Framework for Connected Care
The BioConnetiX model combines evidence-based clinical pathways, specialized physician and laboratory expertise, and coordinated administrative infrastructure to connect independent healthcare organizations around a shared approach to patient care.
Through this model, BioConnetiX seeks to bridge the gap between advances in medical science and their practical application in everyday healthcare – helping Treating Providers access the specialized resources needed to make precision medicine more Accessible, Affordable, Actionable, Informed, Measured, and Managed.
A Network Built Around Subspecialist Consultation
The BioConnetiX Clinical Pathway Network brings together independent physician practices, participating laboratories, and clinical subspecialists around a coordinated approach to patient care.
Participating physicians deliver specialized clinical expertise primarily through interprofessional consultations, complex case reviews, multidisciplinary care planning, and clinical interpretation services.
This consultative approach is central to the BioConnetiX model. It enables highly specialized physicians – including subspecialists practicing in leading clinical and academic institutions – to contribute their expertise directly to patient care through the Treating Provider, without requiring a separate specialist visit for every consultation.
By integrating these services into established physician-to-physician consultation and clinical care workflows, the Network addresses two significant barriers to precision medicine: access to specialized expertise and the cost of incorporating that expertise into routine patient care.
The result is a more accessible and cost-conscious approach to personalized medicine, enabling Treating Providers across a wide range of practice settings to incorporate advanced diagnostics and subspecialty insights into the care they already provide.
Physician-Led, Clinically Aligned Pathways
Each BioConnetiX Clinical Pathway is supported by a physician-led Clinical Advisory Board that guides the Pathway's clinical standards, diagnostic alignment requirements, and evidence-informed recommendations.
Within each Clinical Pathway, a designated Pathologist serves as the patient's Primary Pathway Clinician (PPC), providing clinical coordination and serving as the Treating Provider's central point of access to diagnostic expertise, laboratory coordination, clinical interpretation, and subspecialist consultation.
Participating laboratories align specific tests and assays with defined Pathway diagnostic standards, supporting consistency in diagnostic testing and interpretation across independent laboratory organizations.
This structure enables qualified laboratories and clinical specialists to participate within a shared Pathway framework while retaining responsibility for their respective clinical and laboratory services.
By connecting aligned diagnostic approaches with specialized clinical interpretation and multidisciplinary expertise, BioConnetiX Clinical Pathways help translate complex medical information into practical, patient-specific guidance for Treating Providers.
Advanced diagnostics. Specialized expertise. Coordinated care. Accessible through your practice.
